3 Days Chimps In Nyungwe

Day 1: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest National Park

Arrive to Kigali International Airport where you will be met by an Adventure Uganda Safaris staff guide who will be with you through out the entire safari. You will have lunch either in Kigali or en route depending on arrival time. Proceed to southern Rwanda and Nyungwe Forest National Park arriving  early evening or  a little later. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest

wake up to a sumptuous breakfast and packed lunch at the lodge then transfer to the park head quarters for briefing on how to behave while in the forest then start trekking for the chimpanzees, this can take anything from a few hours to a full day depending on where the chimpanzees are. It should be mentioned that it is not guaranteed to see the chimps as they are unpredictable and can move long distances in one day. There are several other primates in Nyungwe such as the Rwenzori collubus, L’Hoest’s monkey, The Silver monkey, Owl faced monkey and the Grey cheeked Mangabey to name a few. After the trek return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Rwanda Cultural Tour

After breakfast, return to Kigali. Visit the cultural museum in Butare enroute. Transfer to airport for your onward flight.
