9 Days Uganda Safari

Day 1; Pick up from the airport.

Pick up from the Airport by our guide who will later transfer you to Protea Hotel in Entebbe where you will dine and spend the night as you prepare for tomorrow.

Day 2; Transfer to Murchison falls national park.

After breakfast drive northwards to the renowned Murchison Falls national park, with a stop for your lunch at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rare rhinos that are protected in this sanctuary. Later continue to Murchison falls national park which is also Uganda’s largest well protected wildlife area. On arrival, move to the top of the Falls to view the natural beauty of these falls. At this place, the river squeezes itself through a 7meter narrow gorge from a width of more than 1 km and drops below with a thunderous roar forming a water spray that rainbow that results into a stunning rainbow the wonders of Nile River!

Dine and slumber at Red Chilli Rest Cam (budget), or Fort Murchison (mid-range) or Paraa Safari Lodge (luxury).

Day 3; Game drive and launch cruise.

Have an early delicious breakfast and then go to explore the Northern part of the park hosting a high number of Savannah wildlife. This game drive offers great opportunities for photography of elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks as well as hippos, and in case you are fortunate even the leopards, in addition to a big number of bird species then later go back to the lodge for lunch. Following lunch, have for a 2hour boat-cruise to the bottom of the Murchison falls. During this boat ride you will see several water birds plus mammals in big numbers like Hippos and crocodiles, warthogs and others with a variety of different bird species around the waterbody. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4; Transfer to Kibale

Enjoy your early morning breakfast as you prepare to transfer to Kibale forest national park the home of various primates. Lunch will have lunch on arrival then a restful evening as u prepare for the next adventure. Dinner and overnight stay at Ndali lodge (luxury), Kibale forest camp (mid-range), chimpanzee guest house (budget).

Day 5; Chimpanzee tracking Experience.

Have a hefty breakfast and head to the park headquarters to have a brief session on how to behave with the chimpanzees while in the forest from where you will be divided into groups as you head to the jungle expecting to see various primate species including the colombus monkey, red- tailed monkey and the blue and white monkeys. After chimps have been tracked, you will only be allowed to spent 1-2 hours with them for photography then go back to the lodge for lunch and later head to bigodi wetland for birding. Here birders are more rewarded as they get to see various bird species which are not found in any other park and later go back for dinner and a peaceful stay at the lodge.

Day 6; Transfer to queen Elizabeth national park

Have your healthy breakfast in the morning and then depart from Kibale forest NP and drive to queen Elizabeth national park through the southern ishasha sector expecting to see tree climbing lions. From here continue to Mweya peninsula found in the Queen Elizabeth national park where lunch will be served on arrival. Embark on an evening game drive along the park where you will meet different animal species. You will have a wonderful game drive. Enjoy dinner and slumber at the luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge.

Day 7; Morning game drive and boat cruise.

Following an early breakfast, have a morning game drive to see the nocturnal predators as well as the early morning risers like lions, buffaloes, antelope species, leopards, waterbucks, elephants, hippos and warthogs and later go back to the lodge for lunch as you prepare for a 2-3hours launch cruise along the kazinga channel expecting to see crocodiles, hippos and waterbucks. For birders, Queen Elizabeth is a paradise for birders hosting a diversity of migratory species which you will come across during the launch cruise. Go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 8; Transfer to L. Bunyonyi.

Have breakfast in the morning and leave queen Elizabeth for lake Bunyonyi where you will arrive in the afternoon and check in time for lunch. After lunch you will be taken on the boat ride to visit the several Islands of this place each island has its own significant history. Later wind up the day and return to the lodge for refreshments with dinner and overnight at Bird Nest Lake Bunyonyi or Arcadia Cottages Lake Bunyonyi or Overland Resort Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9; Transfer to Kampala.

After breakfast you will leave the lake and head back to Kampala with a lunch stop at the Uganda Equator at Kayabwe for photography and there is also a lot of African crafts on display and also you can learn more about the with experiment. Later proceed to arrive in Kampala by early evening. Check in to your selected accommodation.
