Day 1: Kilimanjaro – Arusha

Transfer JRO – Arusha

After Immigration formalities, meet your driver and transfer to Arusha for an overnight

Day 2: Arusha National park

Drive Arusha – Arusha National Park game viewing & Boat Ride

After breakfast met by our professional tour guide/driver, After drive to the Arusha National Park This small but beautiful Tanzanian National Park is the closest national park to both the famous Arusha “safari town” (as well as the Kilimanjaro International Airport, thus making it ideal for half-day safaris tour. Not only is the animal life in the park abundant, but it is also one of the most beautiful and topographically varied parks in Tanzania. The park’s three most significant features include the rugged Mount Meru (Tanzania’s second highest peak at 4566m), the notably different colored Momela Lakes, and the 3km wide Ngurdoto Crater, which was formed about fifteen million years ago! Enjoy your lunch boxes at the picnic site;

Afternoon enjoy Lake Momella Canoeing Safari. The canoeing on Momella Lakes actually takes place on small Momella Lake with great views of the forest back drop, the canoeing on the lake is relaxing and mildly adventurous.

Day 3:

Arusha – Tarangire

Drive to Tarangire National park

After breakfast depart for the Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp  areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania’s dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch continue with afternoon game drive.

Drive Tarangire – Lake Manyara – Karatu

After breakfast, drive to the Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing. Depart the hotel with lunch boxes. This impressive park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae in the lake. Afternoon drive back to Karatu for dinner and overnight

Lake Manyara National Park – Serengeti

After breakfast drive through the agricultural and fresh produce market town of Mto Wa Mbu, which is situated next to the entrance of the Lake Manyara National Park. The town is a souvenir hunter’s paradise, harbouring thousands souvenir salesmen – ready to pounce at your slightest invitation.

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically located wildlife areas, consisting of a shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park), located at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.

Enjoy lunch before heading towards the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa with endless plains, which roll into the distance as far as the eye can see. Game drive en route to the Hotel/Camp. Dinner and overnight in Serengeti

Day 6: Serengeti National Park

Early am early breakfast, depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti at sunrise you may encounter animals grazing in the beautiful light of sunrise and predators may still be busy hunting before retiring to rest for the day.  Sunrise on the Serengeti is not to be missed and extraordinary photographic opportunities will abound at this magical time of day. You have the option to return for a hot lunch or to opt for a packed lunch which can be enjoyed at one of the various picnic sites found in the Serengeti. After lunch continue on a game drive.  Around the time of dusk be on the lookout for lion. Cheetah can also be spotted on the plains in the early morning and late afternoon when temperatures are not too high. They rely on daylight and speed to catch their prey.  Hippo pods can be seen in the bigger pools and rivers while crocodiles can be seen sunning themselves on the riverbanks. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel/Lodge

Day 7 Non game-viewing travel time: 6 hours
Distance: 114km

Depart after breakfast from for a morning game drive in the Naabi Hill area before head towards the Ngorongoro Crater via the famed Olduvai Gorge , also known as “the cradle of mankind”. The Gorge lies on the site of an ancient lake, covered by thick layers of volcanic ash, which carefully preserved the world’s earliest records of mankind and which was unearthed by the dedicated Leakey family. The museum displays some of these fascinating discoveries and remarkable finds. Lunch at the picnic site, after game drive en route to the hotel for dinner and overnight

 Day 8 Ngorongoro Concerataion Area

After an early breakfast depart with lunch boxes for a full day crater tour, descend 600m into this stunning crater to view wildlife for a full-day’s tour. Witness an unforgettable spectacle of African wildlife – a world teeming with animals. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the park supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, giant elephants and a small population of black rhino. Another big draw to this picturesque park is it dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. Lunch by the Hippo Pool. Afternoon continue with your game drive. Late afternoon Ascend and drive back to hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Ngorongoro Conservation  – Arusha Town

After breakfast, check out and drive to Arusha, arrive in time for lunch. After transfer to Airport for your flight bac k home
